carpeting floor::My only question is the floor prep.
I understand you need to install the proper underlayment but does the floor need to be completely level?
The floor is not that totally out of wack but there is a slight slope to where the drain is located.

Answer if the floor is purposely sloping to a floor drain, it is not a good idea to put a laminate floor in that area.
If the major portion of floor is level, and only a small area is sloping to a drain.
Use good judgment and decide where you would terminate the laminate, and maybe tile to the drain.
